Preventing Deaths from Drug Overdose: Leadership Team

Based on recommendations from the 2004 Task Force on Unintentional Drug Overdoses in North Carolina report (PDF, 173KB), a Drug Overdose Leadership Team was created. This Leadership Team is comprised of key leaders from the Division of Public Health, the State Bureau of Investigation, the Division of Mental Health, the UNC School of Medicine and other agencies to monitor the progress outlined in the report. The purpose of this group is to assess current needs and address potential problems as related to the Task Force Recommendations. The Drug Overdose Leadership Team as of October 2006 consisted of:
